Introduction to Sake

A tried and tested introductory workshop that combines basic information on sake brewing, legal classifications and styles, storage and serving with two rounds of tasting to let you discover your new favourite.

Usually takes 3 hours.

Guide price: CHF 1000 for a group of up to eight people, plus transport costs and accommodation where necessary. All sake and educational or reference material provided.

Guide price: CHF 1,000 for a group of up to eight people and a workshop up to four hours, plus transport costs and accommodation where necessary. All sake and educational or reference material provided. 

Private events and tastings

Sake is still relatively unknown and unexplored, making it the perfect choice for an intriguing event to entertain and open new horizons of aroma and flavour for those who love food and drink.

Choose from a tested introductory workshop with tastings for a group new to sake, or a focused exploration of style, region or pairing for a more experienced audience.

Guide price: CHF 1,000 for a group of up to eight people and workshop time of up to four hours plus travel and accommodation where necessary. Please contact me if you require something else.

I hold several internationally recognised qualifications and can easily explain sake to food and drink professionals and the general public – what it is, the different classes and styles, and how to select, store, pair and serve. In Japanese, English and French!

  • WSET Level 3 Award in Sake
  • SSI International Kikisake-shi
  • SEC Certified Sake Professional
  • JSA Sake Diploma (expected Oct 2019)
  • SEC Advanced Sake Professional (expected Feb 2020)
