Specialist translation and interpring, and event support for Japanese sake breweries

Sake is increasingly popular overseas, thanks both to its association with washoku (Japanese cuisine, designated an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2013) and to demand for new products in established markets, leading to individual breweries and larger organisations attending trade events to make new contacts and open or expand export routes.

Travelling to a European event involves a significant investment of time and money on top of the cost of a booth, particularly for smaller companies and during the brewing season. An alternative is to have a local representative for breweries, importers, exporters and other organisations at European events, or local support for Japanese booth staff who lack language skills.

Guide price: CHF 1,000 / day plus travel, accommodation and associated expenses. Extended travel time to remote locations will incur extra charges.

I can explain sake clearly to both the general public and food and drink professionals – what it is, the different classes and styles, and how to select, store, pair and serve. In Japanese, English and French!
