Where the information is stored
The Taste Translation mailing list is operated by MailChimp, so to send you these updates your personal information (email address and first name) will be collected and stored by MailChimp. By signing up receive this newsletter, you consent to this information being sent to MailChimp. MailChimp is an American company so this information may be stored in or transferred to the USA and be subject to American data protection laws. Click here to see MailChimp’s Privacy Policy.
No personal information is collected or stored by this site. Using a dedicated mailing list operator offers greater security for your personal information than I can offer as a non-specialist.
How the information is used
In principle, your personal information will only be used to send you the content that you asked to receive (translations/summaries of Japanese news about sake and other relevant information such as sake-related events). It may also be used to communicate with you directly about the list, e.g. to answer questions or resolve technical issues. It will not be given away, shared, sold or otherwise transferred or disclosed.
Frequency of emails from this list
Emails are sent to this list approximately once every two weeks. They may be sent more frequently if there is an event of interest, or less frequently if I am unable to send an update.
Unsubscribing and deleting personal information
You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every email. If you have any problems unsubscribing or want to confirm that your information has been deleted, contact arline@taste-translation.com.
