Taste Translation: Annual Japan Sake Awards 2024

If you fancy blending your own sake, My Sake World in Kyoto will let you do just that.

Opened on 23 Jan 2025 by the sake division of Leaf Publications, which operates the Sake World, Sake World NFT and Assemblage Club sites, this blending laboratory lets visitors create a unique sake that tastes just the way they like it.

Located in a renovated old house in the historic Anekoji-dori street in central Kyoto, the blending bar seats just four people, who get to use an array of pipettes and labware to mix their perfect combination of sake. A 1.5 hour blending session is priced at JPY 5,900.

A larger branch in Kawaramachi is scheduled to open in spring 2025.
