The Asahi Newspaper digital edition has a short announcement of serious damage to the buildings of Asahi Shuzō in Yamaguchi, makers of Dassai.

The brewery, located in a mountain valley in Iwakuni in Yamaguchi prefecture, was hit by record rainfall on 7 July 2018. The buildings lost power and were also flooded, leaving Asahi unable to continue brewing.

The flooding affected part of the honshakura (本社蔵, main company kura) building, and the brewery’s cold storage facilities were knocked out by the power cut. Asahi are currently assessing the damage and do not yet have a plan for recovery.

Asahi Shuzo also posted announcements about the damage on their Twitter feed (thanks to @EasternSmooth for RTing).
